The world is moving towards a very fast paced realm of innovation. Technological evolution took centuries to understand and present the science hidden beneath the universal marvels. Similarly, technological advancements have shown the capability of a human’s brain to make life as ideal as it could be. Yet the venture continues.
Online education/ online tuition is one of the magnanimous technologies ever introduced. Not only has it transformed the dynamics of the educational world, online tuition serves as a bridge to connect different frontiers of the earth sitting across a screen!
However, the other side of the picture is equally thought-provoking. As technology improved with time, it has also unveiled terminologies like digital divide.
A digital divide is, “the gap between those who have and do not have access to computers and the Internet”.
The already existing educational disparities further deepened as technology took over. In any and every country where the middle and the upper bracket of nations owns the access and ability to receive online education, there DOES exist an unavoidable bracket of children who are yet drowning deep in the waters of hopelessness. And this is how much of the intellect goes to dump!

Keeping the success stories that revolve around technology in view, stating a judgement whether online tuition aids the digital divide or not will be a bold approach. There is no question about the quota that employed online tuition’s technology as a way to make learning better and diverse.

Perhaps there is no question about the other side being at the deprived and deserving end of technology as well. None among the two echelons are answerable about where they belong.
Is there an end in sight to this disparity?
The fact that does need accountability is how the ones with technology access use it because we all agree when science says, potential flows from high to low!
This invites a question. Where did this potential difference, in our case, digital divide come from? But a more important question is that if it has risen to a considerable point, how can we fix it?
This is exactly where a third party has to build a bridge. In a wider view, the third party or more appropriately the connector is the government of every country. I agree governments take multiple initiatives for beacons being dimmed at the hands of this digital divide.

Initiatives like Exchange Programs, Scholarships and Youth Conferences etc. have tried to eradicate this curse to a greater extent. However, with the growing population, the initiatives need to be as maximized as they can be.

What really is the cause behind this digital divide?
Another note-worthy fact is that digital divide is merely an effect, the cause is something else. We can fight the effect but as long as the cause exists, the fight will be far from over.
Poverty is one of the main causes. And therefore, before we jump to conclusions, there is a list of more important evil-causing evils to eliminate. There are layers to this divide, every layer with its own story of unresolved facts.

The Main Takeaway
As the world witnesses an upward trajectory towards growth in every aspect of life, it isn’t delusional to say HOPE SUSTAINS THE WORLD. However, we often forget that hope alone does not sustain the world. The world needs the right minds, right strategies and right actions to bring out the light from the dark and put an end to this digital divide.
With that, we are quite sure that light exists at the end of the tunnel. So, We hope this helps!
